Coolum Surfing School is located on the naturally refreshing Sunshine Coast, only 90mins north of Brisbane and 15mins north of the Sunshine Coast airport. The Sunshine Coast offers some of the warmest water in Australia, where you can surf all year round seven days a week.

Learn to surf with one of Coolum Surfing School’s local and professional surf instructors (male or female) all very experienced and competent surfers who’s passion is passing on the “stoke” of surfing.

Coolum Surfing School is a family owned and operated business for over 15yrs. They specialise in Private surf lessons with a maximum of 1:8 ratio. They cater for everyone needs – individuals, families, school camps and even stressed out corporate who want to wash away their worries.

They cater packages to your needs. Why not after your fun surf lesson stay on for a delicious catered BBQ lunch overlooking the crystal blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, or have a professional photography capture your “first ride”, just like an eager parent record their children’s achievements, Coolum Surfing School is documenting beginner surfers as they catch their first wave. Have them edited and stored straight onto your own recycled bamboo USB stick so you can take your surfing memories with you.

All equipment including wetsuits is supplied so all you need is a towel, swimmers and a smile! Coolum Surfing School use safe soft learner boards, and has a vast range of boards to suit all types of body sizes and abilities.

Coolum Beach is so easy to get to and with cheap flights from most major cities and just an hour and a half from Brisbane, you can enjoy our beachside lifestyle all year round!

Maroochydore airport is only 10 minutes drive from the Coolum Region, with transfers to and from the airport to your accommodation.

Driving here Coming from Brisbane, it's straight up the Bruce Highway, then exit off at the Yandina Exit, Turn right at the first round about and continue along Yandina Coolum Road for appox 12kms, head straight through the round abouts til you hit the beach. Turn left onto David Low Way and approx 200mt on the right is the main beach car park. You can see our truck from the road parked next to the skate park in Tickle Park. Tickle Park is located between the Coolum Surf Life Saving Club and the Coolum Caravan Park.
